Reports of discolored water in Casino Road area


There is an upset in the use of our water system around the Casino Road area. This has resulted in an increased turbidity in this area. We recommend that you not use your water for up to one hour.
When you do use your water, run it until it becomes clear. We are currently checking water quality and taking measures to flush the turbid waters out of our system. We recommend flushing the water into a bathtub. If you are seeing discolored water, we also recommend that you do not do laundry or wash dishes at this time.

Reports of discolored water in Everett's Casino Rd area prompt water restriction advisory


EVERETT, Wash. -- Residents in the Casino Road area of Everett are being asked to hold off using their water for an hour Thursday afternoon after residents noticed the water had become colored.

In the advisory that was posted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Everett Public Works says there was "an upset" in the use of their water system in that area, creating increasing turbidity. The utility is currently checking water quality and working to flush the murky water from their system.

In the meantime, they say if you have to use the water, run it until it becomes clear -- preferably in a bathtub. They also advise not to do laundry nor wash dishes until the problem clears.

The utility stressed the issue is not related to any kind of lead problem.
